Résumé

Education

2023

PhD | Geography and the Environment

University of Oxford

As part of the TNC-Oxford Water Partnership, I finished my PhD which focused on designing incentives for sharing water with people and the environment

2015

M.A. Latin American Geography (LLILAS)

University of Texas at Austin

My Master's program was richly interdisciplinary and for my thesis, I developed an index for assessing dam impacts in the Amazon.

2011

B.A. Dual Degree: Geography & Philosophy

University of Texas at Austin

It looks funny on paper, but adding a philosophy degree to a physical geography degree has had a continuously high ROI.

Skills

  • I have broad experience in freshwater conservation - on the ground (mostly in South and North America), as well as the necessary complementary skills like designing strategy, and presenting results.

  • I have depth of expertise in water scarcity. My PhD work is focused on water scarcity and so too were most of my projects at TNC

  • I am committed to continuously improving my communication skills, particularly writing and presenting. My goal is to help others with walk the tightrope of science communication: effectively convey information that is both scientifically rigorous, but also accessible to a diverse audience. I believe this balancing act is one of the most important pathways towards positive change.
